Topic: Implant Prostethic Solutions for the General Practitioner
Presenter: Dr. Jason Kim
Dr.Kim is a general dentist and in private practice in Flushing, NY and Long Island. He received his dental degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 1996. Upon graduation, he completed a one year residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. He has been actively involved with implant dentistry since 1997 doing both the surgical and restorative phases of implant dentistry. Jason Kim completed the 2yr Surgical/Prosthetic Implant Program from NYU College of Dentistry Dept. of Continuing Education. Upon completion of the program, he was appointed to faculty and has been on faculty ever since. Dr, Kim also completed the NYU Maxicourse program. Memberships include numerous organizations. including, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, member of the Academy of Osseointegration, member of the ADA and AGD.
Implant dentistry must now be presented as a viable treatment option whether or not you have incorporated implant dentistry into your practice. This presentation will discuss how to integrate implant dentistry from simple to more complex cases. From patient selection to patient presentation to actual treatment, identify different treatment possibilities. We will review the pros and cons of different prosthetic solutions. Incorporate implant dentistry as your first treatment option.
Presentation: Case presentation will precede the lecture.

Membership dues: $100.00 for calendar year 2008, (waived for first time attendees).
Credits:
- CDE: Attendees receive 3 hrs of credit toward mandatory continuing dental education credit. We are an affiliate of the 9th District Dental Society of New York.
- AGD: Meetings are approved for 3 hrs of credit to maintain membership for Mastership/Fellowship requirements. AGD credits can also be used towards New York State required Continuing Education credits.
China - There has been a lot in the news about crowns from Chinese dental laboratories containing lead. At NYUCD prosthesis imported from China are randomly scanned with a spectroscope. The metals requested are those received.
Nobel Biocare has just released their latest implant. There is not a long history with them.
