Dr. Trevor Bavar is the Director of the Continuing Dental Education Program in Dental Implantology at New York University College of Dentistry. He holds the title of Clinical Professor at New York University College of Dentistry.
His private practice in Yonkers, Westchester, NY is devoted to Dental Implantology and Dental Prosthetics. Dr. Bavar performs both the surgical and prosthetic treatment on his patients.
Dr. Trevor Bavar has been practicing Dental Implantology for more than thirty years. After graduation from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Bavar received his certificate in Dental Prosthodontics upon the completion of a two year fellowship at New York University. Two years service in the United States Army as a prosthodontist followed.
An early interest in advanced dental replacements - the desire for better means than conventional dentures and bridgework drove Dr. Bavar to study with leading implantologists throughout the world, resulting in the widely acclaimed techniques he uses today.
He is able to provide implants and stationary replacements in many cases where the patient has been previously told they are not a candidate for implant therapy. This is very often accomplished utilizing advanced bone grafting techniques.

Dr. Delia Solano Downing has been in practice with Dr. Bavar in Westchester since 1998. Her association in the practice has led to an increase in available services to our patients. Dr. Downing is proficient in all phases of General Dentistry as well as Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Delia Downing is a graduate of the Colombian Dental University in Bogota, Colombia, S.A. Dr. Downing attended New York College of Dentistry where she received her DDS degree.
Dr. Downing has attended many continuing education courses since her graduation from NYU College of Dentistry. The courses consisted of advanced training in Endodontics (root canal), prosthodontics (dentures, bridges and crowns) and Implant Dentistry.

Sonilia Alickolli, RDH
New York State licensed Dental Hygienist
Ms. Alickolli has been trained in all of the latest dental hygiene procedures. A head and neck cancer exam is performed at the hygiene visit. In addition to taking the necessary radiographs and performing the dental prophylaxis subgingival antibiotics are placed when necessary. A new laser device is used to detect caries. She is a Graduate of Hostos Community College. |

Cathy has been a team member for 20 years. She is our financial and insurance coordinator. She will see that you receive all the insurance benefits you are entitled to. Cathy is also a trained dental assistant and has been trained in nursing. |
